That just adds to the rustic charm!.
They have this really glossy navy blue paint on them right now, and I’ll probably play with them just like this for the Summer, but in the Fall when I bring them back in, I think I’ll probably paint them something a little more neutral, so I can continue to use them willy-nilly in any room of the house..The next morning after I put these together, I came out of the kitchen to find that Kennedy went straight for the chair and was rocking away happily while she watched her cartoons.
If that doesn’t tell you it’s an approved purchase, I don’t know what will.I pulled in the driveway the other day after dropping Kennedy off at school and I thought to myself “I live here.This thought happens often enough, and when it does, I know it’s probably time to grab my camera and go for a little walk before I start with my chores and projects for the day..I don’t think it had much to do with the mounds of grass clippings left after we finally got a chance to cut our lawn with the brand new John Deere we got to buy a few weeks ago, but maybe that’s part of it.. And the fact that Kennedy gets to grow up here, playing in this sandbox down by the creek.
Maybe that has something to do with it too.. Or the fact that the few bulbs that I got around to planting in the Fall are all coming up and doing better than any others that I’ve attempted ever.. And where I didn’t plant any….A whole field of cheery yellow flowers showed up anyway.. And I get to be one of the people who gets genuine joy out of seeing a field full of dandelions..
If this makes you nervous, don’t worry.
This is at the far edge of our property, and hopefully we will be putting chickens here anyway one day.On to the living room!.
I mostly just stuck pumpkins everywhere, but I did try to get a little scary here and there too..This hutch really does look like it’s been completely re-decorated for Halloween, doesn’t it?
I really just added the creepy cloth across the front, but it makes all the pictures of our ancestors look kinda scary, right?.In the master bedroom, a few pumpkins here and there keep the Halloween mood going..
